Parents and Community
The Country Hills School Council normally meets at 6 p.m. in the library on the second Tuesday of every month. A dedicated group of parents works collaboratively with school staff to maximize the success of our students. School Council members are involved in a variety of ways to support the school’s initiatives. Their fundraising efforts support many projects around the school such as the Country Hills playground, the Greening Project, enhancements to technology, special events and our Home Reading Program. All parents are welcome to contribute and help shape our school community. Refreshments are provided at each meeting.
Our 2017-18 meeting dates are: October 10, November 14, January 9, February 13, April 10 and May 8.
For community members wishing to volunteer at Country Hills, a Volunteer Application Form can be obtained from our main office. Our school needs and volunteer availability will be assessed, after which we will communicate with our applicants with the hopes of matching them with a class and/or initiative. We appreciate your willingness to support the learning of our students through the donation of your time.
Community Skating Rink
The City of Kitchener puts boards up for a skating rink in the winter. We rely on help from parents and the community to maintain the rink. Thank you to our volunteers who keep this rink going!
School Council’s Fall Fundraiser
Thank you for your support of our School Council Fall Fundraiser! The fundraiser has now ended.
Funds raised will help support Student Safety, Student Athletic Jerseys and New Technology.
